On Friendship

A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway.
The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.
Hold a true friend with both your hands.
Friendship needs no words...
Friends are the sunshine of life.
Who finds a friend, finds a treasure.
Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.
A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
The language of friendship is not words but meanings.
When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there.
Most people walk in and out of your life. But only friends leave footprints in your heart.

Story

A man came home late one night for the third time in a row. Tired and in a bad mood, he found his five-year-old son waiting for him.
" Daddy, can I ask you a question ?"
" Yeah, sure. What is it?" replied the man in a gruff voice.
" How much money do you male an hour?"
" That's none of your business! What would make you ask such a thing ?" said the man angrily.
" I just wanted to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the little boy.
"If you must know, I make twenty dollars an hour," said his father.
The little boy looked up at his father and said, "Daddy, can I borrow nine dollars please?"
Now the father was furious. " If the only reason you wanted to know how much money I make is so that you could buy some silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you're being so selfish. I work long, hard hours every day and I don't have time for such childish games."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man started to get even madder about the little boy's questioning. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man calmed down. He started to think he might have been a little hard on his son. maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that nine dollars, and the truth was, he didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the little boy's room and opened the door. " Are you asleep son?" he asked.
" No Daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
" I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man. " It's been a long day and I took my aggravtions out on you. Here's that nine dollars you asked for."
The little boy sat up, beaming. " Oh, thank you Daddy!" he yelled.
Then reaching under his pillow, he pulled out a bunch of crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
"Why did you want more money if you already had some? " the man grumbled.
" Because I didn't have enough, but now I do, " the little boy replied. " Daddy, I have twenty dollars now. Will you play with me for an hour?"

You all know how much I like Winnie the Pooh, so (even though I already posted a bunch of quotes on that subject), I'm sure you'll understand why I'm going to post a couple more. :)
" 'Owl " said Rabbit shortly, " you and I have brains. The others have fluff. If there is any thinking to be done in this forest- and when I say thinking I mean thinking-you and I must do it.' "
" 'Rabbit's clever' said Pooh thoughtfully.
'Yes' said Piglet,'Rabbit's clever.'
'And he has a brain.'
'Yes' said Piglet, 'Rabbit has a brain.'
There was a long silence.
'I suppose' said Pooh, 'that that's why he never understands anything.' "
" People who don't think probably don't have brains; rather, they have grey fluff that's blown into their heads by mistake."
" To the uneducated, an A is just three sticks."
" 'I don't hold with all the washings', grumbled Eeyore. This modern behind the ears nonsense.' "
" And we must all bring Provisions."
" Bring what?"
" Things to eat."
" 'Oh', said Pooh happily,'I thought you said Provisions. I'll go and tell them.' And he stumped off."
" Those who are clever, who have a brain, never understand anything."

crazy me!

I'm kinda bored right now, sooo I decided to post some little known facts about myself. Well, I guess not all of them are little known, and most of them are kinda weird, but seeing as how you're all my friends you'll love me anyway. (right?)
First of all, (this one might not be so little known) I don't eat fruit. Except for watermelon, but I can live without that one too. I'm not exactly sure why I don't like it, (fruit) I think it's mostly the texture. (I know, weird.)
Umm...I am VERY afraid of going in our river because I am very afraid of fish.
When I was little, I thought there were sharks in our milk tank. To this day I don't like getting milk from the top of the tank. Who knows, I might fall in and get eaten.
If I could sing like anyone in the world, it would be Celine Dion.
I write poems. Some of them are actually not terrible, at least, that's what Aimee says. :)
I love dark chocolate, but I don't really like milk chocolate. Not by itself anyway.
Hand massages make me relax, so if you ever see me rubbing my hands alot, it probably means I'm really nervous.
Umm..(thinking really hard for more stuff to make you laugh)...Oh, here's a good one: the magical thing about Disneyland is that once you go, you want to go back. Really, I mean, I had a great time, but I can't explain why I want to go back SOOO bad. It must be magic....
The last three years I have gotten the same kind of cake for my birthday. It is a HUGE, thick, delicious chocolate cake. Because it is so big, it never gets all eaten on my birthday.Whatever is left, I cut in pieces and put in the freezer. Then, whenever I'm really sad, I eat some, and let me tell you, no one can possibly feel too sad after eating something so chocolaty.
I always want to sing in the shower, but I don't because I know my family would find that hilarious.
I pretty much always sleep with my window open, even in the winter.
I love Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. Mmm!
I just noticed that the three things I said I love were all food..... imagine that....
I am pretty much enjoying myself immensely writing this. Yeah, pretty much.
That's all I can think of for now. I hope you've enjoyed yourselves! ( I know I have!)

life is crazy

Wow, so much has happened since I last posted. I hardly know where to start! I had SO much fun at the conference! I think ,(now brace yourselves),...I think I will probably go to the Conference next year. I know, I know, who would have thought that I'd actually want to go, but, you know, people change. :) But even though I have had so much fun these past few days, I was so, super sad last night. Why? Because last night Brittany and I went to Top's to say good-bye to Nicole. I didn't really know what to say, it was so weird. None of us really said anything, we just hugged and said goodbye and left. I'll admit that I cried all the way home. I'm really going to miss her. ...Anyway, enough sad stuff. Josiah had surgery this morning and as far as I know he is doing fine. ( Mom, Dad, and Joe are on the way home right now, so I haven't seen him yet.) I think that's all for now... umm..Yeah, it is. Bye for now.
